Dinks, Drives, and Giving Back: Our First Annual Pickle Ball with a Purpose Tournament!

What an incredible day for a great cause! This past Saturday, we held our very first Annual Pickle Ball with a Purpose Tournament at Concord Pickleball, and it was a smash hit both on and off the court.

The energy was electric, the volleys were intense, and the purpose was clear: making a difference in the lives of children around the world.

The Tournament: 13 Teams, 65 Boxes

We are thrilled to announce we had a fantastic turnout of 13 competitive pickleball teams participate in the inaugural event! Thank you to every player who came out to battle for bragging rights and, more importantly, to support a worthy mission.

However, the giving spirit wasn't limited to the courts! We were incredibly humbled by the outpouring of support from the local community. Lots of non-pickleball players also showed up en masse to help us with the critical mission of the day. They worked hard to meticulously pack the shoeboxes and lovingly wrote personal notes of encouragement and faith to the children who will receive them.



This means that together, we packed an astounding 65 shoeboxes full of essential items, toys, and school supplies. These carefully packed boxes will be delivered this year to children in need across the globe, bringing them joy and hope. What a powerful result for our first time out!

Operation Christmas Child is a project of Samaritan's Purse that collects and delivers gift-filled shoeboxes to children affected by war, poverty, disaster, famine, and disease. Given the overwhelming success and positive feedback from this year's tournament, we are excited to officially announce that the Pickle Ball with a Purpose Tournament will be an annual event!

We can't wait to grow this event, attract even more teams, and increase the number of shoeboxes we can pack next year.
